Go Green with Mitsubishi i-Miev
If you’re looking for a vehicle that will allow you to stand out from the crowd, while producing zero emissions, then the 2016 Mitsubishi i-MiEV could be the perfect vehicle for you.
Equipped with a water-cooled, 49-kilowatt synchronous permanent magnetic motor combined with a 16 kWh lithium-ion battery, the i-MiEV is the most affordable all-electric vehicle on the market and packs 66 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque. The 2016 i-MiEV is capable of traveling 62 miles on a single charge and this incredibly efficient four-door hatchback also earned an energy consumption estimate of 30kWh per 100 miles by the EPA.
This environmentally responsible hatchback comes in three drive modes: D that allows you drive with maximum power, Eco that that lets you drive with limited power to create maximum efficiency, and B that increases regenerative braking.
Charging time for the i-MiEV ranges from 14 to 22 hours when using a normal electrical outlet, but Mitsubishi does offer optional Level 2 and 3 chargers that drastically shorten its charging time.
This eco-friendly member of the Mitsubishi lineup also features innovative safety features like its “Approaching Vehicle Audible System” that emits a sound to alert pedestrians of its impending arrival. The 2016 i-MiEV features other great standard safety features such as a tire pressure monitoring system, active stability control with traction control logic, and an advanced airbag system.
Although packed full of incredible technology, we here at Schaumburg Mitsubishi believe the best feature of the 2016 I-MiEV is the $7,500 federal tax credit you receive for purchasing the vehicle.
Come visit us at Schaumburg Mitsubishi and find out more about the i-MiEV for yourself, and also remember that investing in an electric car means no oil changes, no buying gas, and none of that other messy work that comes when working on combustion engines.
