Mitsubishi Awards

Diamond Chapter of Excellence Award
Our very own Tom Hughes accepts the 16th consecutive Diamond Chapter of Excellence Award Schaumburg has received!
Mitsubishi knows what it’s doing – and that’s why it earns awards to honor everything it’s done.

GOOD DESIGN™ Awards

In 2018, two of Mitsubishi’s models earned recognition for their good looks: the Eclipse Cross CUV and the GT-PHEV Concept. The awards are called the GOOD DESIGN awards and are among the oldest and most sought-after of the Global Awards Program for Design Excellence and Design Innovation. These awards were established in 1950 and recognize products and industry leaders that convey strong contemporary design.

The Eclipse Cross was lauded for its ability to fuse the sleek looks of a coupe with the versatility of an SUV. It was built on Mitsubishi’s DYNAMIC SHIELD front design concept and features cubist styling in the rear. The GT-PHEV Concept is meant to demonstrate Mitsubishi’s future design language.

IIHS Top Safety Pick

The 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander SUV recently earned a Top Safety Pick title from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). To win this distinction, the Outlander picked up the organization’s highest rating of Good in the small overlap front test (driver-side and passenger side) moderate overlap front test, side test, roof strength test, and head restraints and seats test. It also earned a Superior in front crash prevention (again, the highest rating for this category) while earning Acceptable for headlights and child seat anchors.

KBB “10 Most Affordable” Awards

In 2017, the Mitsubishi Outlander earned the top spot on Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com 10 Most Affordable list for three-row vehicles, beating out all over three-row vehicles considered for this award. This means the Outlander, despite its abundance of safety features and interior innovations, is the most affordable model in its segment.

The Mirage also earned praise in this KBB roundup. In fact, it claimed the seventh spot on the 10 Most Affordable New Cars list. That makes the Mirage, which is the most efficient non-hybrid in America, one of the most affordable new cars as well.

To test-drive any or all of these award-winning vehicles, stop by Schaumburg Mitsubishi and we’ll get you behind the wheel.
